
Professor Haritini Tsangari
Prof. Haritini Tsangari is a Professor in the Department of Accounting, Economics and Finance, School of Business, University of Nicosia. Her education includes a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Cyprus, an MSc in Statistics and a PhD in Statistics from the Pennsylvania State University, USA. She is also the Director of Doctoral Programs and the Chair of the Faculty Affairs Committee of the Senate, at the University of Nicosia. She teaches both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. She is also the supervisor of MBA theses and PhD dissertations.
Prof. Tsangari has published more than 150 high-impact journal articles, book chapters and conference proceedings, which are widely cited. Many of her articles have been awarded or selected as Editor’s Choice. She has been the principal investigator in projects funded by European funds or national Institutions. Her research involves Applied Statistics in Finance, Management and Health Sciences, using survey analysis, modeling and forecasting. Current research topics are related to job satisfaction and retention, mergers and acquisitions, using AI in daily life and ESG investing, inclusion and gender equality. She is a member of the “Center of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion” and of the “Cyprus Platform for Gender Budgeting”. She is also one of the “role models” for the campaign “Women stories-The STEAM edition”, launched by the Commissioner for Gender Equality of Cyprus. She is the Vice President of the Cyprus Statistical Society, a Member of the Executive Board of the network “Women in Mathematical Sciences in Cyprus” and the Treasurer of the A.G. Leventis Foundation Scholars Association.
