Dr Katerina Morphi

Dr. Katerina Morphi has a Βachelor’s degree in Economics, a Μaster’s degree in Αccounting and Finance and a PhD degree in Financial Accounting and Corporate Governance. She is a lecturer of financial accounting courses at the University of Nicosia. Dr Morphi’s research interest is financial accounting and reporting. More specifically she is interested in the managers’ motivations in earnings management. She is also interested in how corporate governance variables can act as disincentives for earnings management and in how the accounting standards provide managers with opportunities to engage in earnings management.
