As quantum computing advances toward practical deployment and artificial intelligence systems become structurally embedded in governance, finance, security, and justice, law faces a structural epistemic challenge.

Through an interdisciplinary dialogue, the symposium seeks to critically assess how disruptive technologies reshape legal orders, political power structures and economic systems, while also raising fundamental ethical and societal questions.

The Energy Union Future Leaders Academy identifies high-calibre university students and young professionals with proven, genuine interest in the energy sector and educate them on key elements of the EU’s energy Union, security and transition policies.

The visit was organised jointly with a group from European University Cyprus and provided participants with a rare opportunity to engage directly with EU judicial practice at the highest level.

RCS Cyprus, which was founded in 2018 and is associated with the University of Nicosia, promoted the QCEC to Cypriot schools, and some of its members contributed to the essays evaluation. A record of nearly 53.434 students from 54 countries of the Commonwealth participated in this year’s QCEC. Cyprus also set a new record with 381 participations (compared to 275 participations in 2024).
