The School of Sciences and Engineering comprises three departments, namely Computer Science, Engineering, and Life & Health Sciences. The School follows an interdisciplinary approach in offering academic programmes that provide students with critical theoretical and practical knowledge, equipping them with the skills to discover new knowledge, and enabling them to become lifelong learners.
Students are exposed to innovative curricula and current and emerging trends relevant to their discipline, with classroom instruction complemented with invaluable laboratory experience. In this respect, students have the opportunity to engage with emerging technologies and take part in cutting-edge research relating to, amongst others, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Data Science, Internet of Things (IoT), Earthquake Engineering, Decarbonization and Climate Change, Stem Cell Therapy, and Genomic Epidemiology.
Programmes are delivered by internationally renowned faculty members with long experience in teaching and extensive experience with scientific research. Faculty of the School are very active in research, attracting numerous grants from both local and European funding agencies.
