MoU signed between the Department of Health Sciences of University of Nicosia and the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING)

The Department of Health Sciences of University of Nicosia and the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on July 15, 2023, for the clinical and practical training of the students of the University’s Physiotherapy Program in the Physiotherapy Unit of CING. The memorandum was signed on behalf of the University by the President of the Department of Health Sciences, Dr. Christos Petrou and on behalf of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics by the Coordinator of the Clinical Sciences Section Dr. Eleni Zamba Papanicolaou.

The memorandum aims to initiate and promote cooperation between the Physiotherapy program of the University and the Physiotherapy Unit of CING, which, among other things, includes the training of students alongside experienced and highly qualified physiotherapists who provide high-quality therapeutic procedures based on international protocols rehabilitation. The two parties agreed to strengthen continuing education by organizing and offering seminars and research programs where possible.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Executive Director and Medical Director of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics Professor Leonidas Phylactou, the Senior Physiotherapist of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology & Genetics Dimitris Sokratous and the Coordinator of the Physiotherapy program of the University of Nicosia, Dr. Christina Michailidou.
