Youth Tech Fest Cyprus 2023
Α celebration of children’s passion for all things technology, science, art, environment and entrepreneurship
The Executives’ Club of Cyprus is delighted to announce the Youth Tech Fest Cyprus 2023 that takes place on 18 November at the main campus of the University of Nicosia.
Run under the auspices of the Ministry of Education in Cyprus, the Youth Tech Fest Cyprus is a celebration of children’s passion for all things technology, science, art, environment and entrepreneurship. The event is also the recognition of educators’ efforts to prepare literate and creative citizens for technology-driven society.
The initiative is inclusive for children between 6 and 18 years old from both public and private schools, with Cypriot and foreign background, regardless of their economic status. The event aims to promote diversity to ensure that more girls enter the tech ecosystem and inclusion to encourage access to quality education for the underprivileged children and the ones with learning or heath related difficulties. The entry is FREE to ensure that everyone has a chance to experience the latest educational technologies and tools as well as gaining valuable insights from international thought leaders.
The format of the Festival includes 3 sub-events as follows:
Αn exciting day packed with interactive shows, workshops, masterclasses, and hands-on activities led by educators, engineers, scientists, and programmers. Visitors will get involved as a family or let their young ones discover on their own the activities that are rich, exciting, and suitable for their age-group.
Leading international experts and thought leaders will share the best practices and the latest trends with the Cyprus-based educators, executive management of schools, policy makers and the business community representatives. Our goal is to facilitate long-term collaborative relationships and to jointly create programs and activities that will encourage the young generation to innovate, create, learn and make positive social and economic changes. Speakers include leading minds from the European Commission, the Royal Institution (UK), Shell, Google, WiTEC EU, to name but a few.
A ceremony will recognise each STEAM related project nominated by the attending schools. NOTE: We encourage participation, collaboration, inclusion and excellence. There are no 1st, 2nd or 3rd places – every project is awarded, and every project mentor is recognised.
Join the Festival where we will ignite the spark of innovation and creativity in our future generation TOGETHER!
