Easter is upon us and what is better than another Online Tutorial from the “Cooking Snaps” series making Tsoureki, the traditional Greek Easter Sweet bread with a twist!

The Department of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the Culinary Arts Department-Intercollege, continue to urge students and alumni dive into the magic of cooking.

In this 8th online tutorial broadcasted on Friday, 16 April at 18:00, George A. Georgiou, Culinary Arts Lecturer, will share some tips for this very special recipe!

  • Greek Tsoureki (Easter Sweet Bread) with Chocolate Glaze Coating

Tsoureki is the traditional Greek Easter Sweet bread that’s deliciously soft, fluffy, with gently sweet yeast, and a beautiful brown semi-soft crust, like brioche but with its own distinctive flavor. Greek Easter bread owes its full and rich flavour and aroma to the two spices used, mastic and mahlab. We challenge you to try it and leave, once put in the oven, the intense aromas of the sweet spices permeate your house!

Tip: If you like it, do not wait until next year! You can taste it any time as a delicious breakfast, mid day snack, tea or coffee companion.
