We are writing to address some frequently asked questions about financial matters and payment methods. Rest assured that we will continue to handle efficiently and effectively your financial matters during this period. Please note that the University of Nicosia, has been serving, since the beginning of the academic year, more than 6,000 students enrolled in online Distance Learning programmes, using the methods noted below. The Finance Department and Financial Aid Office are fully operational online and are available to help you and provide answers to any questions pertaining to the topics below. You can contact us at:

Important Announcements

  1. Confirmation letters for Cyprus Government grant
    We have sent via post the confirmation letters for the government grant to all Cypriot students officially registered for the Spring 2020 semester. In case, for any reason, you did not receive your letter, please contact the Student Accounts Officers at [email protected]For more information about the Government grant, and the application form to be completed, please click on the link below: http://www.moec.gov.cy/ypiresia_foititikis_merimnas/entypa.html

    The rest of the Cypriot students (not officially registered) will receive their confirmation letter via email once they pay the required deposit and officially register for the Spring 2020 semester.

  2. Pre-registered students
    All students who have been pre-registered for the Spring 2020 semester, should settle their financial obligations and proceed with their official registration without any further delay.Students who face financial difficulties can apply to the Financial Aid Office at [email protected]
  3. Students NOT pre-registered
    All students that have not been pre-registered for Spring 2020, but were previously attending classes, should apply to the Financial Aid Office to arrange their registration.
  4. Tuition and Fees
    All students are expected to pay their tuition fees in line with the payment plan shown on their statement of account. For more information, you can visit the UNIC Portal at https://portal.unic.ac.cy/signin.There is no change in the tuition fee structure and agreed financial aid packages during this period of online instruction. Please note that there is no change in the academic programmes and the faculty members supporting them, and the University is committed to ensuring all students continue their academic progression to graduation or to the next academic term, in line with the guidelines of the Cyprus Quality Assurance Agency.
  5. Methods of Payment
    We currently offer six payment methods for students. During this period, due to the restrictions imposed by the Republic of Cyprus and in order to protect your health and safety, payment in person at the Student Accounts Office is NOT an available payment method.Online Payment Through UNIC Portal You can now pay online through the UNIC Portal by following five simple steps:

    • Log in to UNIC Portal at https://portal.unic.ac.cy/signin
    • Click on section “€ Finance”
    • Click on “Pay with JCC”
    • Enter the amount you wish to pay and click “Proceed”
    • Enter your credit/debit card information as requested

    Online Payment at JCCSmart

    To pay by credit/debit card, please take the following steps:

    • Visit the JCC website: www.jccsmart.com
    • Click on “Categories”
    • Click on “Academic Tuition Fees”
    • Click on “University of Nicosia”
    • Click on ‘’Bill Payment’’
    • Enter your JCCSmart e-mail and password
    • Enter your University Student ID (the ID must begin with U or A), last name, first name and the amount you wish to pay

    Bank Transfer

    You can pay by bank transfer to Hellenic Bank and Bank of Cyprus (Cyprus) and Piraeus Bank (Greece).

    You will need to provide your Student ID number when making a bank transfer. After you complete your transfer, please send the bank deposit document by email to [email protected].

    Cash or Cheque

    You can pay by cash or cheque at Hellenic Bank and Bank of Cyprus (Cyprus) and Piraeus Bank (Greece) branches.

    You will need to provide your University Student ID (the ID must begin with U or A) when making the payment.

    Flywire

    This is a payment method for making payments from countries outside of the Eurozone. You may be able to save on foreign currency transaction fees or exchange rates by paying with Flywire versus with a bank transfer.

    Payments in Bitcoin

    We accept Bitcoin for the payment of tuition and use Bitpay for Bitcoin payment processing.
