The Department of Architecture [ARC], cordially invites you to the event “SWAT NICOSIA”

An intense collaborative workshop between faculty and students of Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) and the Department of Architecture at the University of Nicosia

The workshop aim is to explore new insights and directions for the sustainable city by implementing a design methodology that embraces theoretical knowledge, technological merit, environmental effectiveness and more significantly – societal impact in the old city of Nicosia.

The SWAT workshop acts as a preliminary development phase towards the City-zen Roadshow which is coming to Nicosia between 7 and 16 May and is open to anyone who is interested in making changes to create a healthier, happier and more energy efficient Nicosia. The €22million European Union (EU) funded project is set to visit 10 cities in 10 countries by 2019. It aims to bring internationally recognised experts in architecture, technology and environmental sustainability together with local residents, municipalities and stakeholders to explore new ideas.
