90 students from across Cyprus are coming to UNIC
On Friday, 17 November, Junior Achievement Cyprus is organising its fourth Bi-communal Innovation Camp, supported by the US Embassy in Cyprus.
This is a one-day event where 90 students, aged 15-18, from across the country come together in order to find and present an innovative viable solution to a unique challenge put to them by the business community. An intensive experience that engages Greek-Cypriot and Turkish-Cypriot students in entrepreneurial and collaboration techniques.
The students will be divided into 18 teams, made up of 4-5 individuals. Working with other students whom they have not met before, they will have just 4 hours to shape their ideas. They will have access to the Internet and mentors. In the afternoon, they will present their solutions (products/services/innovations) to a high-level jury.
The event is taking place thanks to sponsorship from the US Embassy, as well as other local partners that include AstroBank, CYTA, Metlife, PwC Cyprus, as well as the University of Nicosia.
Finale and Award Ceremony
The 6 finalist teams of students will present their solutions in front of a special jury, made up of representatives of business, industry, government and education, in CINE STUDIO, at 17:00.
