The University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine, in collaboration with the UK International Coronavirus Network (UK-ICN), is organising the “Feline Coronavirus Conference” on the 16th to 17th of April 2024 at the University of Nicosia campus.
This conference will welcome scientists from the University of Oxford, Cornell University, the University of California, the University of Edinburgh, the University of Zurich, the University of Liverpool, the University of Bern, the Royal Veterinary College, and the UK Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs.
Furthermore, participants from the University of Nicosia, including Petros Karagiannis, Professor of Microbiology and Molecular Virology at the Medical School, and George Nikolaou, Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Veterinary Medicine, along with members of the Pancyprian Veterinary Association, will also be attending.
UK-ICN is a four-year project (2021-2025), funded by the UK Biotechnology and Biological Research Council (BBSRC) and the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). It is a network project created to support global coordination for the delivery of collaborative scientific research and sustained long-term one health approach to better investigation of coronaviruses, improved surveillance, and social policies.
