What is an Erasmus+ Traineeship?

The Erasmus+ Traineeship Program provides funding to students of the University of Nicosia to work for 2-12 months in an enterprise or organization in country in Europe as per below- see eligible countries. In one-cycle study programmes, such as Medicine, students can be mobile for up to 24 months. The period for Student and Graduate short-term blended and doctoral mobility is 5 days minimum and 30 days maximum. It must be noted also that, accordingly within some study programmes, traineeships can be recognized by the University and contribute to students’ qualifications either in ECTS credits (usually recognition of an internship course) or in the Diploma Supplement.

EU Member States: Denmark, Luxembourg, Sweden, Ireland, Finland, Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Greece, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Croatia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria

European Economic Area: Norway, Iceland, Lichtenstein

Candidate Countries: Turkey, Serbia, Republic of North Macedonia

Which are the eligible organizations?

Any public or private organizations besides EU Institutions and other EU Bodies such as National Agencies and the European Commission. The list of ineligible organizations is available here.

How much is the Erasmus+ Grant?

The Erasmus+ Grant is calculated on a monthly basis and it is proportional to the cost of living of the destination country and the duration of the mobility. The funding which corresponds to each mobility is divided into three or four installments depending on the mobility period. Detailed information is available here. What should I be aware of if I get selected to participate in the Erasmus+ Traineeship Programme?

Any mobility is divided into three phases: Before – During – After. The required documents to be submitted are mentioned here, nevertheless, the detailed procedure will be communicated after the official selection by the UNIC Erasmus+ Selection Committee.
