Policy for the Use of AI Tools at the University of Nicosia
Recognising the significant impact that artificial intelligence (AI) tools—including generative AI, machine learning and natural language processing—are likely to have on society, the University of Nicosia seeks to harness their potential responsibly across teaching, learning, research and administrative operations. This policy sets out a comprehensive framework to ensure the ethical and effective use of AI technologies while enhancing the University’s overall efficiency. The policy applies to all members of the University community—academic staff, administrative staff and students—and has been developed in line with the Senate Resolution for the Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools, submitted by the Rector and approved by the Senate at its 142nd meeting in March 2023.
