The Department of Engineering of the University of Nicosia, in collaboration with the SKYLD Security and Defence LTD and the Cyprus Maritime Academy, is pleased to host a high-level symposium on “AI Enhanced Predictive Maintenance for Maritime Systems” on Friday, 24 April 2026 between 10:00-13:00 at the Loft Restaurant & Bar.
The symposium will bring together industry leaders, researchers, classification society representatives, and technology innovators to explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence in maritime maintenance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The seminar will feature the presentation of key outcomes from the Maritime Health Usage and Monitoring System (MHUMS) project, funded by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation under the CO-DEVELOP programme. MHUMS has developed advanced AI-driven diagnostic and prognostic tools, enabling predictive maintenance, condition-based decision-making, and lifecycle optimisation for maritime assets.
The detailed programme of the symposium will be announced soon.
