The Department of Finance and Economics provides support to the programmes of the Business School and more particularly to the Finance and Economics concentrations of the Bachelor Degree in Business Administration and the MBA degree. The Department provides students with a solid foundation in the field of business and the European environment and prepares them to become effective business professionals. Students obtain a detailed understanding of the economic and financial framework within which the firm operates as well as the ways in which domestic and international economic conditions affect business decision making. Students are exposed to:
- financial management in different types of firms (corporations, banks, small businesses)
- financial management in firms operating at a European or international level
- the economics of the firm
- capital markets
- central bank policy decisions
- decision-making using quantitative techniques
