INFINITECH

IFF is privileged to have participated in the flagship EU project, INFINITECH, alongside some of the biggest names in multiple industries, including banking, insurance, education, and technology.

The INFINITECH Project, was made up of a consortium of 42 partners from 16 countries with stakeholders from all 27 European Union (EU) countries and the United Kingdom (UK). The aim of the project was to support the financial and insurance sectors as technologies like Big Data, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) drive the innovation process. INFINITECH received €16 million in EU funding and was coordinated by GFT Italy, a subsidiary of GFT Technologies SE. The project falls under the auspices of the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme, Horizon 2020 and its results cover all areas of business activities including Know Your Customer (KYC), customer analytics, personalised portfolio management, credit risk assessment, preventive financial crime analysis, fraud anticipation, usage-based insurance, agro-insurance and more.

The University of Nicosia, as one of the academic partners of the project, has participated with two chapters in the INFINITECH Open Access Book which has reached 100,000 downloads in 10 months!

We are very proud of the project's results, including the amazing INFINITECH marketplace where one can find multiple training assets provided by UNIC.
