UNIC School of Law signs cooperation agreement with the Balkan History Association

The University of Nicosia School of Law has signed a cooperation agreement with the Balkan History Association. The agreement aims to promote interdisciplinary research on the history of Cyprus, as well as its connections with the Balkans and the broader European cultural, political, economic, and social spheres. The collaboration will be carried out through publication of thematic volumes, conferences, and lectures. The Balkan History Association (BHA) is a non-profit, independent organization that aims to develop and promote at both national and international levels the interdisciplinary and comparative study of the Balkan region, and, more generally, of South-East Europe. Its main fields of study include, but are not restricted to, various sub-disciplines of history—political, cultural, military, economic, urban, literary, oral, or the history of science communication—art history, history of religions and archaeology. It manages the Hiperboreea journal, which is published by the Penn State University Press. The Association was represented in the signature of the agreement by its president, Mihai Dragnea, whereas the School of Law was represented by Dean Achilles C. Emilianides, Associate Dean Christina Ioannou, and the coordinator of the PhD in International Relations and European Studies Yiannos Katsourides.
