‘Research Talks’ Series at UNIC Athens concludes

The Medical School’s first Research Talks series at UNIC Athens concluded successfully this week, offering attendees a chance to explore the research interests and ongoing work of faculty members.

Held over two days, on 16 and 20 January, the series featured presentations by the following faculty members:

  • Konstantina Dimakopoulou, Assistant Professor of Biostatistics and Research Methods
  • Evangelia Liouta, Assistant Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology
  • Stergios Douvetzemis, Clinical Associate Professor of Breast Surger
  • Eleni Panagouli, Assistant Professor of Anatomy
  • Charalambos Skarlis, Assistant Professor of Pharmacology
  • Kyriaki Pavlidou, Assistant Professor of Bioethics and Law
  • Eleni-Kyriaki Vetsika, Assistant Professor of Biochemistry
  • Eleni Georgakopoulou, Assistant Professor of Histology
  • Georgios Kararigas, Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology
  • Ioannis Sfontouris, Clinical Associate Professor of Embryology

The sessions, which aimed to provide insight into the breadth and diversity of research within the Medical School, were introduced by the Director of UNIC Athens Medical School and Clinical Associate Professor Dimitrios Karatzas.

The series provided students with a chance to get to know faculty members and their research, offering them ideas for their own academic and research journeys.
