Ms Christina Patsalidou

Christina Patsalidou is a Full-Time Teaching Research Faculty in the Dance Programme of University of Nicosia. She holds an MFA and a BFA in Dance and a BSc in Nutritional Sciences from The University of Arizona. Ms.Patsalidou also holds a Certificate in College Teaching from the Graduate College and The University Teaching Center of The University of Arizona. She is an active researcher in the fields of dance education, dance wellness programs and ballet technique and has been invited to present her research at international dance conferences in USA and Europe. She is the co-author of a chapter in the Dancer Wellness, a book published by Human Kinetics for the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science. In 2013, she has co-founded and co-directs 35° 33° Dance Company, a contemporary ballet based company in Cyprus. Patsalidou is a Registered Royal Academy of Dance Teacher and a Registered Dietitian in Cyprus. Patsalidou has initiated various programs for the University of Nicosia such as Project: connect and International Dance Connect Initiative in collaboration with faculty from The University of Arizona and University of California Santa Barbara. Several of her research and choreographic projects have been funded, among others, by the Cultural Services of Ministry of Education, Lefkosia Youth Ballet, Cyprus Youth Organization and Tuscon Pima Arts Council.
