Nine UNIC Health faculty recognized among world’s top-cited scientists
UNIC Health is proud to announce that nine of its faculty members are among the world’s top-cited scientists, according to a ranking compiled by Stanford University.
The yearly ranking titled ‘Science-wide author databases of standardised citation indicators’ lists the world’s most influential scientists based on their citation impact. The database evaluates researchers across 22 scientific fields and over 170 subfields using a composite score that incorporates total citations, h-index, co-authorship-adjusted metrics, and authorship position.
The following UNIC Health scientists have earned a place among the world’s top-cited researchers for 2024 (in alphabetical order):
- Professor Sabaratnam Arulkumaran: Medical School
- Professor Michael Davidson: Medical School
- Professor Dimitris Drikakis: Joint appointment – Medical School and School of Sciences and Engineering
- Associate Professor Eleni Gentekaki: School of Veterinary Medicine
- Professor Christos Georgalas: Medical School
- Professor Panagiotis Karanis: Medical School
- Professor Andrew Nicolaides: Medical School
