Introduction to Information Security Requirements

Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme

1 June – 19 June 2026

The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Erasmus Office of the University of Nicosia (UNIC), announces a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Information Security Requirements (3 ECTS), which will take place online (1-12 June 2026) and at UNIC premises (15-19 June 2026).

The BIP was successfully offered at Örebro University in the academic year 2024/2025. Hence, this will be the second time that this BIP is offered.

BIP Participant Universities are University of Nicosia (Cyprus), Örebro University, (Sweden) and University of Salerno (Italy). NEOLAiA partners are also welcomed to participate in the BIP by expressing their interest to the UNIC BIP organizers. All participants will receive 3 ECTS upon the completion of the course.

One of the challenges in software system development is to understand information security requirements that need to be fulfilled. The focus of this course is how to analyze and evaluate information security requirements and to communicate these requirements with other relevant actors in the system development life cycle. Different methods for information security requirement engineering are covered. This course also develops students’ skills in presenting information security requirements in both writing and speech.
