Danagra Ikossi is a Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Postgraduate Medicine at the University of Nicosia Medical School.
Dr Ikossi received her MD, with distinction, from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and went on to complete her General Surgery Residency and Minimally Invasive Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University Medical Center. She was awarded a position on the NIH/NRSA Trauma Training Grant research fellowship at The San Francisco General Hospital within The University of California, San Francisco, where she researched and published on topics including haemorrhagic shock, near infra-red spectroscopy, muscle tissue oxygen, trauma in pregnancy, as well as venous thromboembolism. Since completing her training, Dr Ikossi has been in practice within a high volume multi-specialty medical group in San Jose, California, as a General Surgeon specializing in advanced laparoscopic and robotic techniques. She has had the privilege and joy of teaching the family medicine residents during their surgical rotation, serving as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Surgery at Stanford.
