Worldwide postgraduate employability reaches 99.9%

The Medical School Careers Office is pleased to announce that, based on employment records, out of a total of 908 Medical School graduates (2015 – 2023), 907 or 99.9%, have been offered positions at over 350 medical centres around the world for residency training and research.

For the MD programme graduates this year is marked by the first Preliminary General Surgery program at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) in East Meadow, Long Island, New York; as well as our first US Residency couples match in Family Medicine in North Dakota, USA, our first Junior Doctor in the Gynecology & Obstetrics department in  Mönchengladbach, Northrhine – Westphalia, Germany and 25% of the available F2 posts in the UK were filled by our graduates and we had our first internship posts in Oman and Jordan.

 The highlights for the graduates of the MBBS programme include Fellowship positions in Critical Care & Burn Surgery at University of California Davis, Cardiac Critical Care at Stanford University Hospital, California, Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at the College of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma, Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Residency Match in Family Medicine at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Placements to date are scattered around more than 20 countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, France, Germany, Switzerland, Malta, Greece, Cyprus, Israel, Iceland, Lebanon, Jamaica, and the United Arab Emirates.

They include world-renowned medical centres such as Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and, in London, St Mary’s Hospital, King’s College Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and University College Hospital. Other notable institutions taking UNIC Medical School graduates include Harvard Medical School in Boston, Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Mount Sinai in New York, the University of Toronto and Dalhousie University in Canada, and the Sheba Medical Center and Hadassah University Medical Center in Israel.
