Alexander Kroushovski is a Clinical Associate Professor in Anatomy and Orthopaedics at the University of Nicosia Medical School, where he also serves as Clinical Skills Lead.
Dr Kroushovski graduated with his primary medical qualification (MB BCh BAO, LRCS&SI) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2005, where he was awarded academic honours. He subsequently obtained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) during his surgical training in the United Kingdom, and completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery, passing the specialty exit examination in 2014.
His research interests focus on medical education and clinical skills training, trauma and sports medicine, and orthopaedic research. He is a member of the OACTIVE consortium (EU Horizon 2020 programme), an international initiative developing advanced, personalised, multi-scale computer models for the prediction and prevention of knee osteoarthritis, and his published work includes the study of serum biomarkers of cartilage metabolism in knee osteoarthritis.
