Know your HIV status: This Sunday at Solomos Square in Nicosia

This Sunday, the Medical School’s Mobile Clinic in collaboration with Cy Checkpoint and the Testing and Prevention Centre of the AIDS Solidarity Movement Cyprus, will be providing free, anonymous, and rapid HIV testing in downtown Nicosia.

Held as part of the annual European Testing Week, the event will take place on 23 November, from 11:00-14:00 at Solomos Square (Tripoli parking lot).

The initiative aims to encourage individuals to know their HIV status, understand their risks, and access effective treatment if needed. By promoting awareness and early detection, it also helps reduce stigma, creating a more supportive environment for those affected.

European Testing Week is a campaign that encourages organisations and institutions throughout Europe to unite for one week twice a year to increase testing efforts and promote awareness on the benefits of earlier testing for hepatitis, HIV and sexually transmitted infections.

For the past four years, the Medical School’s mobile clinic has proudly participated in this initiative, offering its services 2-3 times per year. This commitment to public health and preventive care continues to have a significant impact on the community.

Take charge of your health – join us at Solomos Square this Sunday and encourage your friends and family to do the same. Together, we can create a healthier, better-informed community.
