The Pantheo Eye Center Annual Congress 2025 will take place on April 5–6, 2025, at the Amathus Beach Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus. The congress is held under the auspices of the Cyprus Ophthalmological Society and in conjunction with the Midland Ophthalmological Society, UK, and the University of Nicosia Medical School.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr Sofia Theodoropoulou, MD, PhD, FRCOphth, is a graduate of Athens Medical School and has been fully trained in Surgical Ophthalmology in the United Kingdom (Cambridge, Bristol). She is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, UK, and has completed a fellowship at MEEI, Harvard Medical School, as well as a PhD in Ophthalmology.
She has served as an Associate Professor (Senior Lecturer) at the University of Bristol and as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in the NHS. She has received numerous awards and grants, including the Global Ophthalmology Award from Bayer (2017) for her contribution to the treatment of retinal diseases and a grant from the Academy of Medical Sciences for research on immunotherapy for macular degeneration (2016). She has numerous publications and presentations at international conferences, with over 800 citations.
Since 2022, she has been a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Hygeia Hospital, Athens, Greece.
