The 1st Symposium “Little Iphigenias – Women Facing Silent Cancers” will take place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, at UNIC Athens (17, 29th Street, Elliniko 167 77, Athens), the University of Nicosia’s academic and research base in Greece.
The Symposium is being held in connection with World Gynecologic Oncology Day, which takes place on Sunday, 20 September, and aims to raise awareness about gynaecological cancers, with a focus on prevention, early diagnosis, and the latest developments in diagnosis and treatment.
The Symposium is co-organised by the University of Nicosia Medical School at UNIC Athens, with Professor George Kararigas as Scientific Lead on behalf of UNIC Athens, and the “Erifyle” Patient Initiative for Gynaecological Cancer, represented by Ms Maria Papageorgiou and Dr Elena Torou.
