After serving as Chief Operating Officer for four years, Dr Michael Murphy has made the decision to retire effective 1 July 2020. Dr Murphy was also the co-editor of MedNews.
In a statement, the Executive Dean remarked: ‘I would like to offer my thanks to Dr Murphy for all of his contributions to the Medical School during his tenure. We have benefited from his wealth of experience and we have worked as a team towards meeting key strategic and organizational objectives for the Medical School. On a personal level, I will miss working with Michael on a daily basis and benefiting from his wisdom.’
Once the current situation with Covid-19 permits, Dr Murphy will be invited back to Cyprus for a proper retirement party.
