Get the chance to win a scholarship for the BA programme in English Language and Literature

If you are passionate about foreign languages and your dream is to develop an international career using the skills you are going to gain with a degree in English Language and Literature, then you can participate in the “Lingua_Lit” competition for a chance to win one of the scholarships offered by the Department of Languages and Literature.

Scholarship Terms

The scholarships are available to full-time new undergraduate students. They cover tuition fees for the first year only and exclude books and other fees, such as application fees, etc. In the case of securing two (2) or more scholarships, the scholarship with the highest tuition fee reduction rate applies. Candidates are required to maintain a GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 in order for the scholarship to be renewed.

Participants are required to submit a short essay (300-500 words) addressing one of the questions below to: [email protected]

  • “What specific challenges might language professionals face today?”
  • “Why still read literature today, in our fast-paced, modern world?”

The work will be assessed by a committee consisting of faculty members of the department, based on the following criteria:

  • Language skills
  • Argumentation
  • Originality
