The Department of Languages and Literature of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Nicosia invites you to a webinar held as part of the Master in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) programme. The webinar will take place on Monday, 8 June 2026, from 19:00-20:00 EEST.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is radically transforming language education. This webinar presents scenarios for how the future of language education may take shape in the era of AI, drawing on the multiple futures framework. It examines five critical areas with significant impact: the automation of processes, the rise of self-paced learning, the replacement of humans by robots, the displacement of teaching jobs, and the evolution of pronunciation teaching and learning. The webinar concludes with a practical roadmap for institutions and educators, offering specific recommendations for the responsible integration of AI into language education.
All attendees will receive certificates of participation.
