Dr Kika Ioannou-Kazamia

Kika Ioannou Kazamia is an Associate Professor in the Architecture Department at the University of Nicosia. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, a Master’s Degree in Education, and a Doctorate in Sustainable Interior Design. Her doctoral research focused on the promotion of sustainable practices.

Her primary research interests include integrating environmental issues into art and interior design practices, as well as the importance of environmental education. From 1989 to 1996, she served as a Lecturer in the Interior Design Program at the Intercollege Larnaca Campus. Since 1996, she has continued her teaching role in the Interior Design Program at Intercollege, now the University of Nicosia.

In addition to her academic career, she has been actively involved in interior design practice since 1988. Her research interests encompass Sustainable Interior Design, Sustainable Development and Design, Change through Learning, and Recycling and Design. Her work has been featured at various conferences and exhibitions both in Cyprus and internationally, including ICED, ICSD, the International Design Biennale, and Biennale Interieur.
