Dr Raanan Berger
Dr Raanan Berger is the Head of the Cancer Institute and Head of Clinical Research at Sheba Medical Center, Israel.
His MD and PhD degrees are from Sackler Medical School at Tel Aviv University. He completed his clinical training in Medical Oncology and Radiotherapy at Sheba Medical Center and from 2002 to 2005 he was an intern at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, an affiliate of the Harvard Medical School.
Dr Berger developed a novel prostate cancer model derived from primary human prostate epithelial cells with defined genetic elements.
He is the author of over 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles and teaches oncology at Sackler Medical School. Currently, he is running a basic and translational research laboratory studying molecular mechanisms in prostate and breast tumorigenesis.
