Abstract:
An introduction to the ideas of the symmetry analysis of differential equations is presented and the reasons for its utility.
Short Bio:
Professor Leach was born in Australia. He graduated from the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. He was a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Natal (subsequently University of KwaZulu-Natal) in Durban. Presently he is Professor Emeritus at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Honorary Research Professor, Durban University of Technology and Visiting Professor at the University of Cyprus. He is the author of over 300 papers.
