We are inviting you to the biggest event we have organized this year.  In collaboration with the international initiative for awareness of epilepsy “PURPLE DAY” we are organizing a two day event to increase the awareness of Epilepsy.

1.  “Epilepsy: Current Knowledge and New Therapies”

delivered by Dr Costa Michailides

When: Thursday, 26th of March, 18:00 – 19:00

Where: UNESCO Amphitheatre, UNIC

The seminar will be addressed by a representative of the Minister of Health.

Certificates of attendance will be given.

Coffee and savoury snacks will be served at the end.

2.  “Purple Fair”

When: Saturday, 28th of March, 10:00 – 18:00

Where: At the entrance of Ledras and Onasagorou pedestrian area in Old Town Nicosia

The bazaar will include:
  baked goods
clothes
games for children
Face painting
Lottery of various gifts provided by our sponsors
and many others

During the event we will distribute flyers about Epilepsy to the public.  A printed bookmark will also be given describing the first-aid steps during an epilepsy attack.  All the money collected will be used to increase Epilepsy Awareness in Cyprus.  Both events are under the auspices of the Minister of Health Prof. Phillipos Patsalis.

Furthermore, we would like to kindly ask for your help for the bazaar on Saturday, the 28th March, for example selling goods, distributing flyers and running the games.

We have the following 3 hour shifts:

10:00-13:00

13:00-16:00

16:00-19:00
