Erasmus+ Smart Tourism Academy Kick-Off Meeting
The international Erasmus+ project 2025-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000362455, Smart Tourism Academy: Preparing the next generation of tourism experts, has officially launched, bringing partners together to strengthen modern higher education in green and regenerative tourism and support the development of sustainable approaches in tourism practice.
The partner consortium met for the first time on 23 – 25 November 2025 at Budapest Metropolitan University, which hosted the project’s kick-off meeting. Discussions focused on agreeing detailed terms of cooperation, harmonising project activities and timelines, and sharing proven methodological procedures for effective teaching and learning. University of Nicosia was represented at the meeting by Yianna Orphanidou and George Panayiotou, who presented their work package responsibilities, contributed to planning the project’s next steps and collaboration framework.
Students, field experts, and non-university communities will be actively involved throughout the project. Partners will share ongoing updates and results via their websites and social media channels.
