University Registration

Commencing your studies requires you to register with the Department of Admissions by submitting the necessary documents and relevant certification. Registration provides you with access to all University facilities and services.

Mobile Phone and Internet Services

The most convenient payment method for you is through a prepaid card. You should visit any provider store (Cosmote, Nova Greece, Q-Telecom, Vodafone Greece), purchase a SIM card, and load your account with credit to receive a phone number registered in your name. You will need to present your student ID or passport. With your academic ID, you are eligible for discounted student packages.

Tax Identification Number (TIN/AFM)

You must obtain a TIN number to open a bank account and execute lease agreements in Taxisnet. To obtain your TIN number (AFM) and Key Code, you should submit an application on the digital portal myAADE under “TIN number (AFM) & Key Code (Act for myself)” without completing the residence permit details or tax representative personal details.

For a TIN/AFM number, you will need the following documents:

  1. Photocopy of a valid passport or travel document recognised by our country
  2. Evidence proving that you are legally in the country (Visa and the entry stamp or valid residence permit)
  3. Officially translated birth certificate
  4. Marriage/civil partnership certificate, if applicable

Banking Services

You require a Greek bank account with e-banking credentials for residence permit applications. Opening a new account requires you to submit mandatory documentation through an appointment at a bank branch of your choice.

To open a Bank Account, you will need the following documents:

  1. Identity Certification
    • EU and Aliens Residing in Greece: Valid passport or identity card issued by an EU country.
    • Non-EU Aliens Residing in Greece: Special Identity Card for Aliens of ethnic Greek Descent or
    • Valid passport and valid residence permit
  2. Certification of Income and Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  3. Confirmation of Address or Main Residence
  4. Confirmation of Occupation (Academic Identity Card- Recent Certificate of Studies)
  5. Confirmation of Contact Phone number
  6. Confirmation of Tax Residence
