Lab Overview

Evolve Analytical Chemistry Preparation is the chemical front-end for high-resolution molecular, elemental, proteomic, and structural analysis. Its mission is to transform complex biological, food, environmental, and product matrices into controlled preparations suitable for advanced analytical chemistry.

Research & Innovation Focus

The lab supports a range of processes: extraction, purification, solid-phase extraction, water preparation, proteomic sample preparation, and pre-analytical workflows for mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. It enables research across exposomics, nutrition, metabolism, food systems, environmental health, formulation science, and biomarker discovery.

Core Capabilities

Capabilities include sample preparation workflows aligned with ICP-QQQ elemental analysis, solid-phase extraction through vacuum and positive-pressure systems, and high-throughput proteomic preparation. The lab is supported by the Agilent 8900 ICP-QQQ system, Agilent Vac Elut 20, Agilent PPM-48, and SEER Proteograph Product Suite.

Applications & Impact

The lab supports environmental exposure assessment, nutritional chemistry, precision health biomarker studies, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical characterisation, food authenticity and quality research, materials analysis, and complex biological chemistry workflows. It is especially relevant where preparation quality determines the reliability of downstream mass spectrometry or elemental analysis.
