Lab Overview

Evolve Molecular Analysis is one of UNIC Evolve’s central high-end analytical environments, designed to identify, quantify, and structurally characterise molecules, materials, and formulations. It provides the analytical depth required to connect biological systems, chemical signatures, material properties, and product performance.

Research & Innovation Focus

The lab supports metabolomics, proteomics, small-molecule analysis, formulation characterisation, and solid-state material studies. It enables discovery and validation programmes where molecular composition, structural state, and quantitative chemical profiles are central to scientific or industrial decision-making.

Core Capabilities

Core capabilities include targeted quantitative analysis through LC-MS/MS, high-resolution molecular characterisation through QTOF analysis, and crystalline or solid-state material analysis through X-ray diffraction. Key systems include the Agilent 1290 Infinity III / 6495DA LC-MS/MS, Agilent 1290 Infinity III / Revident QTOF, and Bruker D8 Advance X-ray diffractometer.

Applications & Impact

Applications include biomarker discovery, drug and nutraceutical characterisation, metabolomic profiling, pharmaceutical quality research, food and environmental chemistry, materials science, exposure biology, and precision-health analytics. The lab is valuable where molecular signatures must be linked to health status, biological response, formulation stability, or environmental conditions.
