The Construction Materials and Dynamics Laboratory supports a broad range of instructional and research experiments. The laboratory is divided into two main sections, namely:
- Construction and Building Materials
- Dynamics
The Construction and Building Materials section includes a 3000 kN compression testing machine and a 250 kN bending/shear frame, both operated via modern computerized controllers. The laboratory provides concrete preparation equipment, including mixers, sieves, molds, and curing tank. A highrate data acquisition system integrates with sensors such as a 1000 kN load cell, highaccuracy laser displacement sensors, accelerometers, and strain gauges. An ultrasonic tester enables nondestructive evaluation of concrete properties. These instruments are complemented by fixtures and auxiliary equipment for testing concrete, steel, and composite materials.
