The University of Nicosia participates in the European Research Program Erasmus+ Geo-CLIC (Geoinformatics Climate Change) which aims to contribute to the reversal of climate change and the return of the global climate to a more sustainable level through the use of geoinformatics technology and the utilization of Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing to analyze available information, data, draw useful conclusions and adopt the necessary policy changes.

Το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας εκφράζει τη βαθιά του θλίψη για την αιφνίδια απώλεια του Δρ. Φίλιππου Τσιμπόγλου, Γενικού Διευθυντή της Εθνικής Βιβλιοθήκης της Ελλάδας, τέως Διευθυντή της Βιβλιοθήκης του Πανεπιστημίου Κύπρου και «πρόδρομο» της σύστασης και οργάνωσης του πλαισίου λειτουργίας της σημερινής Κοινοπραξίας Κυπριακών Βιβλιοθηκών (ΚΚυΒ), της οποίας το Πανεπιστήμιο Λευκωσίας αποτελεί ιδρυτικό μέλος.

Το Συνέδριο διοργανώθηκε από την Κυπριακή Ένωση Βιβλιοθηκονόμων και Επιστημόνων Πληροφόρησης (ΚΕΒΕΠ), σε συνεργασία με την Βιβλιοθήκη του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας και το CARDET (Center for the Advancement of Research & Development in Educational Technology), στις 02 Νοεμβρίου 2022, στις εγκαταστάσεις του Πανεπιστημίου Λευκωσίας. Σε αυτό παρευρέθηκε επίσης ο Υφυπουργός Πολιτισμού κ. Γιάννης Τουμαζής.
