The School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) Newsletter
As we conclude the 2024–2025 academic year, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences takes pride in the scholarship and creative work highlighted across the pages of our latest Newsletter. The Newsletter of our School offers a glimpse on the rich work conducted by out faculty and students, work that advanced disciplinary conversations and forged meaningful links between research and teaching. As in previous year, our academic community has shown commitment to rigorous inquiry and public engagement.
Over the past few months, faculty members delivered presentations at various conferences and forged new or continued with international collaborations in a variety of research projects. Several departments organised seminar series that brought visiting scholars to Nicosia, enriching classroom discussions and sparking new collaborations. Articles published in peer-reviewed journals, curated exhibitions, and community-based projects demonstrate both the depth and breadth of work produced during the year.
This issue records those activities and acknowledges the hard work undertaken to produce the output that you will read about in the following pages. I sincerely thank all colleagues and students who contributed to this issue of our Newsletter. I hope the stories collected here inspire continued curiosity and encourage further cooperation across the School. Thank you for contributing to a productive and rewarding academic cycle, and I look forward to the insights the coming year will bring.
I wish everyone a restful summer break and a return to the next academic year with renewed energy and inspiration.
With best wishes,
Professor Ioulia Papageorgi
