AILC Spring 2026 NEWSLETTER

Welcome to the Spring 2026 Newsletter

As we move well into the Spring 2026 semester, the University of Nicosia AI Learning Centre (AILC) continues to advance the integration of artificial intelligence across teaching, research, and operations. As the unit responsible for introducing, supporting, and evolving key learning technologies at UNIC—including Blackboard Ultra, Engageli, and Blackboard Video Studio—AILC plays a central role in shaping the University’s digital learning environment and ensuring faculty are equipped to make the most of these tools.

This edition highlights a range of practical innovations and developments, from intelligent automation initiatives and agent-based workflows to new features across widely used platforms such as Camtasia, Blackboard Video Studio, and Engageli. We also showcase ongoing training opportunities, including initiatives at the Athens campus, as well as examples of how AILC is building specialized AI-powered briefings and tools to support academic work.

Equally important are the experiences and perspectives of our faculty, whose engagement continues to drive meaningful adoption of AI and digital technologies across the University. Together, these efforts reflect a growing, shared commitment to enhancing teaching, improving efficiency, and exploring new possibilities for innovation at UNIC.
