Petros Petrou

Dr Petros Petrou is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology and Evidence based veterinary medicine at the University of Nicosia.

Dr Petrou is a veterinary surgeon and a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) in the United Kingdom, as well as a registered member of the Cyprus Veterinary Council.

Dr Petrou graduated from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, where he earned the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). He subsequently completed postgraduate studies at the University of Liverpool, in veterinary dermatology and evidence-based veterinary medicine. He was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (PgCertVPS) and holds the designation of RCVS Advanced Veterinary Practitioner (CertAVP).

His research interests focus on hypersensitivity reactions and the skin microbiome in small animals, with particular emphasis on advancing clinical understanding and evidence-based treatment strategies in veterinary dermatology.
