Kyriaki Makri

Kyriaki Makri is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Diagnostic Skills at the University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr Makri is a veterinary surgeon and a member of the Geotechnical Chamber of Greece and the Cyprus Veterinary Council Registrar. She earned her bachelor’s degree in veterinary medicine (DVM) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she also completed her postgraduate studies and obtained an MSc in Companion Animal Medicine – Systems Medicine. After completing her studies, she has practised small animal medicine in private practices, across Greece, the UK and Cyprus.

Dr Makri’s research interests include small animal cardiology, oncology/haematology and internal medicine, as well as the use of antibiotics in small animals and their impact on public health.
