Christos Yiapanis

Dr Christos Yiapanis is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Nicosia School of Veterinary Medicine.

He graduated with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and was awarded the Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (CertSAS) by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He completed a European College of Veterinary Surgeons-accredited residency in small animal surgery at the Koret School of Veterinary Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

His clinical and research interests focus on small animal orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery, with particular emphasis on oncologic, thoracic, and neurosurgical procedures. He has authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and is a frequent invited speaker at international scientific meetings.

Dr Yiapanis also serves as Head Veterinary Surgeon at CYVETS Veterinary Centre, a referral-level veterinary centre in Paphos, Cyprus.
