Welcome by the Dean

As I reflect on the continued evolution of our School of Business, I am struck by the remarkable momentum we have built together and the clarity of our shared purpose. Guided by our commitment to our aim to “Lead What’s Next”, we are shaping a School of Business that not only responds to change, but actively defines it, developing leaders equipped to navigate and drive the transformations that will characterize the future of business and society.

At the core of this vision lies our emphasis on a twin transformation, the integration of digital innovation with sustainable, green development. We recognize that tomorrow’s leaders must be fluent in both domains: capable of leveraging technological advancement, while advancing responsible, sustainable practices that address global challenges. This dual focus is not an abstract aspiration; it is embedded in our programmes of study, our research agenda, and our engagement with industry and society.

The School’s trajectory in recent years reflects the strength of this strategic direction. We have advanced into the ranks of the top 176-200 business schools globally and are now positioned at #38 within the European Union (by Times Higher Education Subject Ranking and Asian World University Ranking). These milestones are complemented by our distinction as a PRME Champion, underscoring our leadership in responsible management education, and by the achievement of AACSB accreditation in July 2025, placing us among the top 6% of Business Schools worldwide. Together, these recognitions affirm both the rigor of our academic enterprise and the relevance of our mission.

Rankings and recognitions signal our capacity to deliver on a deeper commitment: to cultivate graduates who combine analytical excellence with ethical judgment, global awareness, and the ability to lead transformative change. In an era defined by complexity and uncertainty, the need for such leadership has never been more pronounced, as it is substantiated by our graduates’ employability rate that, on average, reaches to 97%.

We are committed to the sustained investment in our people and our ideas. By strengthening faculty research, enhancing interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing innovative pedagogical approaches, we are building an intellectual ecosystem that supports both discovery and impact. Equally, by expanding opportunities for student support and experiential learning, we ensure that talent – regardless of background – can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the future we are shaping.

All these are a collective endeavour. The engagement, expertise, and commitment of our broader community remain essential as we continue to build a School that stands at the intersection of academic excellence and societal relevance. Together, we are not only advancing an academic unit; we are preparing a generation of leaders ready to define what comes next.
