Links With the Industry

The School of Business is firmly committed towards establishing and strengthening its links with Industry and Government in Cyprus to foster innovation.

To this end it has taken a number of initiatives that strengthen its ties with these major pillars of the country, and the international community at large. Currently the School of Business has developed the:

Advisory Board – An honorary group of business executives that serves as a bridge between the School and the business and professional community of Cyprus.

The Advisory Board is an honorary group of prominent business executives that serves as a bridge between our School and the business and professional community of Cyprus. It offers its advice and guidance to ensure that our programs prepare students to become the type of professionals, managers and leaders demanded by our growing and diverse economy. The Advisory Board recognizes that with accession into the European Union, our region’s economic prosperity depends, in part, on our graduating business professionals ready to address the challenges before us.

By investing in the School of Business, the Advisory Board members receive a range of benefits. The most important benefit of being a member of the Business School Council is the personal satisfaction received by contributing to the quality education of School of Business Administration students. Additionally, the following exclusive opportunities are offered to all Council members: Visibility and recognition

  • Networking with other Council members and University of Nicosia leaders
  • Opportunities for building or strengthening relationships with other members
  • Opportunity to employ interns
  • Guide and influence the School’s development and direction
  • Priority access to faculty research
  • Priority access to student research and life projects (e.g. assignments, theses)
  • Invitation to special School and University events
  • Recruitment of our graduates.
  • Receive scholarship for their employees to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes

Already in its fifth year of operation, the Advisory Board functions as the vehicle that will help us fulfill our mission, and achieve our vision, and strategic goals. We rely on the Advisory Board to identify business needs, trends, and challenges and to help us build the reputation of the School—its programs (both undergraduate and postgraduate), faculty, and students—locally, regionally, and internationally. The Board serves as a bridge to the business community by addressing student interests and alerting faculty to the research needs of local companies and industry. The members of the advisory board are divided into internal to the University of Nicosia and external to the Industry.
