The Evolve Biobank provides the controlled cold-chain foundation for UNIC Evolve’s biological, molecular, and translational research programmes. Its role is to preserve the scientific validity of samples, reagents, and temperature-sensitive materials across time.

The biobank supports storage strategies for human biological samples, molecular materials, reagents, consumables, and research-critical assets requiring defined temperature conditions. It is essential for programmes where biological integrity, traceability, and temporal consistency determine the quality of scientific conclusions.
Core Capabilities
Capabilities include ultra-low-temperature storage through six B Medical Systems U401V freezers, distributed cold-chain capacity through F290 freezers, P290 refrigerators, F130 undercounter freezers, and monitoring or connectivity through the B Connected data communication unit where assigned.
Applications & Impact
The biobank supports precision medicine studies, biomarker validation, longitudinal cohort research, sequencing programmes, molecular testing, clinical sample archiving, and intervention studies in longevity and preventive health. It strengthens readiness for multi-phase research programmes that require preserved materials and consistent storage conditions.
