ENLACED Project Partners Gather at the University of Nicosia to Reimagine Language Education in Europe
The GNOSIS | Mediterranean Institute for Management Science of the University of Nicosia hosted the Transnational Project Meeting of the ENLACED project from 20-22 January 2026, welcoming partner institutions from Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, and Cyprus.
Throughout the meeting, partners engaged in in-depth discussions on the development of the ENLACED Conceptual Framework, the design of interactive digital breakout challenges, and the functionality of the project’s web-based learning application. Dedicated working sessions focused on aligning pedagogical innovation with real classroom practice, ensuring that the project’s outputs are both academically robust and highly engaging for students.

The central theme of the discussions was the empowerment of foreign language educators. Partners explored strategies for upcoming teacher training activities and pilot implementations, aiming to equip educators with practical tools to integrate citizenship- and democracy-focused challenges into language curricula across multiple European and partner-country contexts.
The Cyprus meeting concluded with a clear and ambitious roadmap for the next phases of the project, reaffirming the partners’ collective determination to deliver innovative, impactful , and sustainable solutions that enhance language learning and strengthen democratic competences in higher education across Europe.
