Dr Ifigenia Georgiou

Dr. Ifigenia Georgiou is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting, Economics, and Finance at the University of Nicosia’s School of Business. She is a member of the Institute for the Future Research Group at the university. She holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in Finance from the University of Cyprus and an M.Sc. in Information Management from Lancaster University. Her B.Sc. is in Public and Business Administration, with a concentration in Management Science from the University of Cyprus. Dr Georgiou also possesses a Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Practice in Higher Education from Aston University and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK. Her academic roles have included Lecturer at Aston University and Assistant Professor at CIIM Business School, and she has taught at the University of Cyprus, Open University of Cyprus, and Hellenic Open University. Dr Georgiou’s research interests focus on Corporate Governance, Boards of Directors, Corporate Social Responsibility and Reporting, and Socially Conscious Investing, Blockchain in Accounting, Blockchain Governance, Decentralized Autonomous Organizations, cryptocurrency market behavior.
